September marks a new beginning…
I always get a little nostalgic every September. Time to put away the beach umbrella in exchange for a rake, and busy back to school schedules replace long laid back summer days. September also brings football, fall weddings and the return of clubs and special gatherings. All the things we put off because of the dog days of summer, we can now enjoy as the air not only feels cooler but smells different too! Sweet apples, pumpkin spice, hayrides, burning wood and the coziness of soups and stews invite me to break out my boots and sweaters.
September is a great time to start something new! Whether it’s a healthier lifestyle, a new hobby or a home improvement project. All summer long I put off house projects because it’s either too hot, or the thought of sacrificing a beautiful summer day seems sacrilege.
I recently moved in August. Yes, I bought a home in the most frenzied market in recent history! I too had to give up everything except my first born in the strongest sellers market in more than 20 years. I have gained a whole new perspective and empathy for my clients. It’s not easy and so stressful! I get it and it was totally worth it!
I encourage everyone, as the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, to embrace this season of change, as the sun has once again circled around this wonderful planet. I hope you use September as an opportunity to begin something new. Something which expands your mind, strengthens your body and feeds your soul. Speaking of feeding your soul... if you live local to Chester County, PA, you should head on over to Northbrook MarketPlace and enjoy some of their delicious apple cider donuts!
Happy fall y’all!
